Extension of COVID's accounting moratorium

Our lawyers analyze today in El Confidencial the extension of the COVID accounting moratorium, approved in the last Council of Ministers of the year.

• what changes? This measure was scheduled to expire on December 31, 2024, but with the new extension, it will now expire on December 31, 2026.
• What does this mean? Although it is a relief for companies, it should not be forgotten that it is temporary.

“The corporate moratorium has brought temporary relief to companies affected by the covid-19 pandemic. However, it is essential to closely monitor losses and the impact on equity. In addition, proper planning must be carried out to avoid imbalances and, if necessary, adopt liquidations once the moratorium is over.”
