Sale of El Horreo Healthy Food Productive Unit, S.L.

The Commercial Court No. 1 of Oviedo has authorized Lener Administraciones Concursales to sell the Production Unit of El Horreo Healthy Food, S.L.

The judge has approved the offer analyzed by Lener Administraciones Concursales, led by our partner Amalio Miralles, who have dedicated their efforts in the middle of the summer season so that, by means of an court order dated August 25, this resolution was issued, given the importance of speed in these processes to preserve the value of the companies in operation.

The deed will be formalized shortly, and our firm will contribute to the continuity of one of the most recognized companies in Asturias in the world of sausages.

Embutidos El Hórreo is an Asturian family company that, far from ultra-processed products, has always been committed to maintaining on the market sausages made with selected raw materials of national origin, eliminating additives.

BIPLA ASSETMANAGEMENT, SL -SPAIN-, is the company bidding for the business, which to date has been developed from the company El Horreo Healthy Food, S.L.

The peculiarity of the bid submitted is that it includes elements of three companies that, although legally independent, are functionally linked, which means that, as a whole, they are susceptible of forming a productive unit within the meaning of Article 200 of the TRLC. Indeed, on July 30, 2020, the following companies were declared to be in joint voluntary and ordinary insolvency proceedings: El Horreo Healthy Food, S.L., Ahumados Saludables, S.L. and FMSM Specialités du Monde, S.L.

With this Authorization, Lener Administraciones Concursales adds one more professional intervention in this type of bankruptcy solutions - sale of productive unit - being a reference in the sector in this type of operations, not exempt of legal and economic complexity in the current times of anxiety and uncertainty.
