Sergio Gutiérrez Rey

Sergio joined Lener in 2026 as a member of the Restructuring department, bringing over twenty years of experience in consulting. He has strong expertise in financial, operational and strategic restructuring, as well as in mergers and acquisitions, strategy consulting, process improvement, revenue and cost optimisation, and management support for companies in distress.

Throughout his career, he has worked at leading firms including Deloitte, PwC, Europraxis (Minsait), Accenture and CLH, where he led complex projects involving restructuring and turnaround plans, refinancing processes, fundraising initiatives, strategic planning, operational due diligence, valuations, process and organisational redesign, and post-merger integration for some of Spain’s leading companies.

Sergio has advised clients across a wide range of sectors, with a particular focus on industrial companies. His experience also includes consumer goods, energy, engineering, retail, transport, public services and banking.
