Lener's Commercial Department has analysed Royal Decree 1312/2024, published on 2 January, which establishes new obligations for digital platforms that intermediate in this type of accommodation. This new framework introduces registration, control and verification requirements that will directly affect their operations.
Entry into force: 1 July 2025.
In this analysis we have focused on the following points:
- What types of accommodation are excluded.
- Which units are included (temporary rentals or colivings).
- The new obligations for platforms: use of the unique registration number (NRU), periodic verification of information and communication with the administration.
