Analysis of the Consolidated Text of the Bankruptcy Law

On May 7, 2020, the Royal Legislative Decree 1/2020, of May 5, was published in the BOE, approving the Consolidated Text of the Bankruptcy Law, which aims to regularize, clarify and harmonize the different reforms that Law 22/2003, of July 9, Bankruptcy has suffered throughout the years of its validity since it entered into force on September 1, 2004. The Consolidated Text will enter into force on September 1.
 
This Information Note intends to inform the scope of the text, as well as a first analysis of some of the main regulated subjects, which we highlight because of its interest, in the current context of the economic crisis that has resulted from the health crisis caused by COVID-19.
