The fourth edition of the 'Felipe González de Canales' awards was a success. The awards ceremony was held last Friday in the auditorium of the Episcopal Palace of Cordoba, and has helped to take the pulse of the weight that the agricultural sector of Cordoba has today through the different modalities of these awards that for the fourth year convened Asaja-Cordoba, the Cabildo Cathedral and La Voz of Córdoba, and this year has had the co-sponsorship and collaboration of Lener along with other entities in support of this sector.
Agriculture and livestock have been the protagonists in this event that recognizes the work of the sector in different categories such as entrepreneurship, innovation and research; the values of associations and cooperatives; exemplary careers; gastronomy and circular economy, in addition to having a special mention that on this occasion has corresponded to Infoca, for their work during a very hard summer regarding forest fires and the defense and protection of agriculture that they perform thanks to their mission.
During the awards ceremony, Felipe González de Canales highlighted their importance due to the projection that he makes of the excellence that exists in the province in this field.
Felipe González de Canales, who gives his name to these awards, has been a pioneer in agricultural associations and a person who has carried the name of the Cordovan countryside throughout Spain and Europe. In addition to being a farmer in Bujalance (Córdoba), he has been, among other positions, founder of Jóvenes Agricultores, today Asaja Nacional, founder of the Escuelas Familiares Agrarias and founder of the Red Estatal de Desarrollo Rural. Undoubtedly, he has been and is a reference in the Spanish and European rural world.
