We are chairmen in the III Encuentro de Actualización Concursal

Amalio Miralles, partner of the Insolvency Administration department, and Javier Romano Egea, partner of Lener in Vigo, participated last week in the III Encuentro de Actualización Concursal held in La Coruña, which brought together lawyers, economists and experts in bankruptcy proceedings, in order to analyze changes and developments in this area.

Amalio was moderator in a couple of discussion tables, in which they talked about:

  • “Garantías Reales y Ejecución en el Concurso”. Together with Ilma. Mrs. Amelia Pérez Mosteiro. Judge Dean and presiding in the Court of First Instance nº 3 of Ferrol.
  • “La Unidad Productiva. Problemática de la Seguridad Social y Hacienda. Novedades Jurisprudenciales” Together with Ilma. Mrs, Salomé Martínez Bouzas, magistrate and judge of the Juzgado de lo Mercantil nº 2 of Coruña.

In turn, Javier Romano had as a table partner the magistrate-judge of the the Juzgado de lo Mercantil No. 1 of Pontevedra, in which they talked about “Acuerdos de Refinanciación y su Impugnación. El Caso Pescanova“.

Being the third edition of this Encuentro de Actualización Concursal, it is intended to make important conferences nationwide and turn it into a benchmark in bankruptcy matters, according to the dean of the District Chamber of Legal Advisers who inaugurated the day.

It is also a moment of great relevance, since the Superior Court of Xustiza (TSXG) claimed three new courts for A Coruña, one of the Social, another of the Commercial and one of First Instance, to reduce the work overload in the courts of the community.
